On my travels in the 70’s I experienced Turkish baths and Swedish massage. I have continued to expound on the value of both for all ages and stages of life.
Attending college studies in massage, lymphatic drainage, and nursing, along with therapeutic recreation, I am able to incorporate a holistic approach to every appointment.
The method I use for massage is to relax muscle groups or tone them. To achieve this in a short time period I often use warmth as well as a G5 physiotherapy machine, with various classic techniques such as effleurage, petrissage and tapotemant.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is used to help recirculate body fluids, stimulate the immune system, and balance the nervous system. I have been certified in the newest techniques of lymphatic drainage, which allow for greater depth with each session. As a lymphatic therapist I use superficial and deep techniques to recognize the rhythm and flow of the lymphatic fluid. A session commonly induces a state of relaxation.
Working with all ages and stages of well being I have enjoyed seeing the influence that just one hour can provide. The benefits from this ancient art of massage and the more recent advances in lymphatic drainage are well documented. I always enjoy discussing the merits.
My work has taken me to many locations and given me the hands on knowledge that experience provides. I strive to customize each appointment to the individual’s needs.
